How to remove a voice from a music track

It is Audacity, one of the best programs for editing-free  audio files, which with its special effects and some properly adjusted settings allows you to erase the voice from any song in four or four. Do not you believe it? Try yourself following my directions and then tell me.

The first step you need to do is connect to the Audacity site and click Audacity 2.1.3 installer to download the program on your PC. Once the download is complete, double-click the downloaded file (audacity-win-unicode-2.1.3.exe) and, in the window that opens, click OK first to confirm the use of the language and then on Next for four consecutive times, Install, Still Avanti and End to complete the Audacity installation process.

You now have to install the Audacity plugin needed to save the songs in MP3 format. Then, connect to the website of the MP3 LAME plug-in and click on Lame_v3.98.3_for_Audacity_on_Windows.exe to download the program on your PC. When the download is complete, double-click on the downloaded file (Lame_v3.98.3_for_Audacity_on_Windows.exe) and, in the window that opens, click Next. Then accept the terms of use of the plugin, placing the cue sign next to, I accept the agreement, and click Next on Next for two consecutive times and then on Install and Finish to complete the LAME MP3 installation process.

If you want to find out how to remove a voice from a song, start Audacity via its icon on your desktop and click the OK button to access the main program screen. In the window that opens, click on the Open item in the File menu to select the song from which you want to remove the entry and when  uploaded, click on the name of the file (to the left of the chart next to x) and then on the Split option Stereo track to separate the stereo channels of the song.

Now, completely highlight one of the two graphs in the Audacity main window by double-clicking on it (no matter which) and selecting Reverse from the Effects menu to invert the trace. At the completion of the operation, first click on the file name (to the left of each of the two graphs next to x) and then on the Mono option to convert the two tracks from Stereo to Mono. It is done! Try listening to a track piece by clicking on the play button, and you should have got a noisy song.

 

Now that you understand how to remove a voice from a song, you’re ready to save the result obtained as MP3 files. To do so, click on the Export menu of the File menu, and in the window that opens, select the MP3 File item from the Save As drop-down menu, type the name that you want to assign to the file in the File Name field, and click Save and then OK two consecutive times to complete the operation.

That’s all. Remember, that in order to get the best results when the voice is completely canceled from the song, you have to use music tracks with a high bitrate (so with a high quality).
